Donate to a Rebel Cause

Ugh, it's been too long.

School = ridiculous!
AP Biology mainly :/

I digress from whining, just posting to say, these Jimmy Choos? Killlllling me right now.

I just ordered a motorcycle jacket the other day (finally!), so I think I'm in some kind of bad-ass fashion inspiration shinanigans as of late. I don't even like Jimmy Choo usually! Black boots are admittedly my weakness.

Anyone have a spare $995 to grant a girl's fall boot perfection dreams?!

Viva La RECO!

My tights have arrived! They're ridiculously soft, fit like a glove...a little cookier than I imagined, but amazing no less.

Action shot of my three tiered fringe authentic Minnetonkas! Four bucks at Sal-Val, a hundred bucks in the Delia's catalogue; I love thrift stores. I now have three pairs of fringe boots!

Speaking of boots, I bought these metallic booties the other day for $13

They're super shiny and I'm really diggin' 'em! :)

I lost my Ebay bid on suspenders, but discovered that they sell them at Kmart for seven bucks! Haha score

Additional score as of late, after lusting after so many on Chictopia, I finally found a Bowler hat that fits on my giant head!

Fuck yeah Anna won the Fashion Show (B-Grade Proj Runway)! She better have after I spent a buck just to vote for her.

I cut and colored my hair, I'll leave you with a not very good picture of it haha. It's a longer, dark brunette Little J-ish layered do in person, but not as ridiculous as hers? ok maybe not but I love it

'Til then, I'll be wishing I was thrifting!

From 'XOXO' To Frequent Rhetorical Questions?

Oh what a hiatus. I finished Gossip Girl! Two seasons in just over two days, with much sleep deprivation.
I have now matured...to Sex and the City, my faithful Carrie & Crew!
I recently inherited that whole series, so it's a no-brainer. I'm already on season 4 (ignore my obvious lack of a social life puhhlease).
With film adaption numero dos in the works, I need to refresh anyway.

My computer is officially dead forever I'm thinking. I'm typing this from my mom's laptop :/ boo technology and life

I've been doing waaayyyy too much sorrow shopping in the mean time, and am now almost broke, right before I leave for Seattle, but it was sale mania everywhere I went!
Oh! and the awful cherry on top? My sister just won a thousand dollars today!! Seriously, I'm considering suffocating and/or mugging her for the cash.

Well, for what it's worth, I have a ton of new clothes and a recently re-organized/color coordinated closet (once again, a social life? not a factor for me.)

TA DA! (notice my severe lack of color off to the left, I'm a neutrals gal I guess)

That crazy highliter-esque shirt dress to the right? It's new from Delia's, a store I am growing very fond of lately.

Total for all three? $17! Which is damn cheap to me considering that store's usual prices.

...Then there was my weakness, Forever 21. The one a mere few miles from my house is about the size of my house! and, get this, by September, a mere 10 miles from my house, a...50 fucking THOUSAND square foot, two floor F21 will be complete. If there's no posts after that, I'm sure it's due to my death by sheer awe.

I've of course also been thrifting it up, filling my quota for black lace shirts, shirts with pockets and crocheted items.

I ordered some aaaaaamazing floral leggings from Urban Oufitters. Seriously, go check out their sales right now, ugh, ridic. I then persuaded my sister and best friend both to hit the site up and buy stuff (Urban should pay me for getting them business! haha).

Ok, my wishlist now looks as follows:

1. floral leggings

2. black leather-ish motorcycle/bomber jacket under $50

3. black suspenders (shall be mine if I win with my bid on Ebay)

4. black, white or gray strappy gladiator wedges or lace up peep-toe thick heeled boots under $30

okey dokes, now I'm off to the mall with a friend, praying nothing too beautiful nor expensive ends up compromising my current money situation, laterz.

"You Know You Love Me"

I do Gossip Girl, I do love you. You and your crazy stalking antics, reporting to me on Manhattan's elite.

I have been watching Gossip Girl for about three days straight now, it is quite sad.
I stopped only to thrift, hang out with friends, and babysit.
I'm halfway through the second season already and am impatiently waiting for the rest of the episodes to download.
If I get arrested for all the GG downloading I've been doing, I'm pretty sure it might be worth it.

Anywho, enough of proving my level of lameness, I will share my thrifting finds because they were uber amazing.

strapless bathing suit, button up patterned shirt, bright blue skinny capris, white shirt w/ black trim & big pocket

grey slouchy cardigan w/ shell buttons, white dress w/ crochete detail, target brand cheetah flats

& I saved my favorite purchase for last, these super stappy, takes-5-minutes-to-put-on, Colin Stuart gladiators

I also bought two pairs of earrings, a purse, and a scarf. Total of my purchases? under $10!!! Yeah, I almost fainted when the lady rung me up, best thrifting haul ever.

My parents bought this tv and the cashier told us it came from a prison! It's see-through so they can't hide any drugs or shanks in it, duh. We have decided it's quite the amazing conversation piece.

Well, sorry for the picture heavy extra long post. I'll wrap it up with this.
I know everyone's mourning Michael Jackson, as am I, I was obsessed with the Thriller video as a kid, but now another of my favorite pop culture-ites (no joke) has passed away suddenly, Billy Mays.

Rest in peace sir, I will miss your abnormally loud voice and enthusiasm for cleaning products; the informercial scene just won't be the same without you :(

I Am Immuned to Alarm Clocks

Slept in until two, postponed thrifting plans until Saturday when EVERYTHING is 50% off at my local thrift store (even though everything is hardly above $2 already).

However, today shall not be wasted!
One of my favorite blogs to read is White Lightning's, and in doing so, I have concluded that I should jump on this Gossip Girl bandwagon, check out all the hubbub.
Season 1 has just finished downloading, Season 2 will follow shortly, so I am off to do some serious catch up.

I mean, when that hunk of badass hottie pictured below is involved...what's there to lose?

Accomplished

Today was damn successful:

1. I got a side salad instead of fries at lunch

2. Finished a summer AP Language assignment

3. Watched Almost Famous after hearing about it for so long (Spot comedian Nick Swardson (AKA Reno 911's Terry) in that movie first time around? I sure did, in his half a second of camera time. I must have an eye for cute comedian cameos.)

4. Figured out some crazy Amy Winehouse/Rosie the Riveter hybrid scarf tying head wrap shindig to make use of a vintage scarf I never use...

Speaking of Winehouse, pardon my cracked out look in this photo?

In other news, I love Zac Posen. So much so that my display name on Style.com is Posen_For_President in fact.

my love of Zac Posen + my love of teal + my love of Flapper fashion =

Oh come on, it's only $1,790! That's only about 45 babysitting gigs for me...

Alas, I kid, and my life must go on without that piece of Posen gold.
These $45 ModCloth Stevie boots however? Also at the top of my wishlist and much more easily attainable.

They shall be mine come fall.
Until next time, I'll be wishing I was...actually I will be thrifting tomorrow! Yay! Adios blogmigos.

Don't Keep The Lion In a Coma

Well, I caved.

I've been obsessed with blogs lately, even being very stalkerish by checking up on some every day. I told myself I wouldn't get one because I would never keep up with it, but here I am, caved.

I'll try hard to keep this blogging shenanigans up the best that my combination laziness/short attention span will allow.

It's nice to meet you blogging world...

do not fear, that's just my "oh so nice to see you!" face, I swear. Only the best for my new blog readers! (that was me skipping lunch cramming for satan's ghastly skew on science...wait, sorry, I mean chemistry.)

My summer's about a month in and very boring I must say. My family can only stand to take me thrifting/flea marketing about twice a week, which only eats up about...oh, 5 plus 3 plus 4, minus 2, carry the 1...like 10 hours (don't doubt the math, I'm a very thorough thrifter).

I made these today, but substituted the jam for peanut butter. They're amazing btw, I highly suggest making them. With deliciousness like this around me all the time due to my love of baking, I should really spend my extra minutes in a gym rather than at a computer...but alas, I shall choose to die fat and happy instead.

Well I guess that's all for my first ever blog post. Drop a comment! Tell me to check out your blog! I'm mystified on how networking goes down in the blogging world, any tips?

Until next time, I'll be wishing I was thrifting :P
